It's kind of bitter sweet, if you ask me.

Plus I'm using the Terrorists computer because for whatever reason I can't get the Internet to go wireless. Not that I've really tried all that hard but... whatever.

No more stolen connection for me. It's all legal now, baby!

Now I need to go do some laundry. I thought I was going to hear from Grandpa T at some point this morning but apparently I was mistaken (he has some furniture he was going to drop off for us.) Since I haven't heard from him I'm not gonna worry about it and go do laundry and get stuff for food tonight.

Ps. Com-cast SUCKS! 100 fucking dollars to come in and plug in some fucking wires. That's fucking stupid. Plus the kid paid more attention to his phone than he did actually setting shit up.

Shepard's Pie and Sex.

Dinner went well.
Little T and I made Shepard's Pie.
I have never seen a kid eat so much freakin' food. Then, first thing this morning after I got here he comes out and asks me if there is any more and can he have it for lunch. (Actually he wanted just a "little, little, tiny piece" for breakfast too.) I think he liked it.

I sort of made my "semi-reasonable" bed time. After the kid went to be the T and I were discussing all the things we can't discuss in front of him. At some point we got on the topic of how the apartment is going to be set up. He started throwing out suggestions but because I'm such a visual person I have a hard time imagining things without seeing them. His response to this... "I have something to help with that" or something like that. He jumped up went to the computer, I sat on the couch wondering what the hell he was doing for a few minutes then more or less passed out until I woke up to him playing with my feet.
What was he doing?
Making a layout of my apartment via the Sims.
Hilarious!
After I got over my amusement at the situation I realize it was actually a pretty good idea. We didn't really decide anything except that the cable comes in the living room in a really awful spot.
I left here a little bit after midnight, got home, showered and was in bed by 1a. Later than I wanted but not that bad, add that to the fact that I didn't have to be here until 8a... I feel much better. Still tired, but feeling much better!

I miss bed sex.
Never thought I'd say that.
Though I totally enjoy the shower sex and living-room blow-jobs, I miss the non-rushed sex that comes behind closed, locked, bedroom doors.
That's gonna be some good sexin' when it happens.

Today I need to...
- Come up with something to do with a handful of strawberries.
- Send out a few resumes.
- Call my landlord, discuss plans.
- Make sure Little T is at home at 3.30p
- Decide if I'm gonna go get a drink with Miss. Kelly and what to wear when I decide that I have to go.
- Burn cd for Nate.

Either way it's cheaper than buying a whole new table. By about 1000%.

I forgot the dimensions at home so I can't get an exact quote. But I can get ideas.
Depending who I go through it's anywhere from $120 to $55ish. Which are probably all a bit more because it's being shipped to a Residential address. Maybe it'd be cheaper if I have them bring it to work.

We had a case of the Back To School Blues this morning but things have calmed down since.
Little T starts school next Wednesday (Woot woot) and because of that the Terrorist is getting both of them in the habit of the school morning routine. (Getting up really fucking early, showers, grooming, food and ready to leave by 730a) Today was the first day of the new schedule. It didn't go to well. Lil' T told me that tomorrow will be better. Let's hope so because we've gotta go register him for school at 8am.
Exciting.

Okay, the time has come to head to my house.

3 weeks of Kid Care - What I've learned... (Updated)

This has been an enlightening experience for me.
The first day, was terrifying.
Everything about it, getting up early, getting there a few minutes late, taking flack from the T about the lateness. Then when the Terrorist left... Oh, Jesus. That was the worst part.
The day, DRAGGED.

That was by far the worse day. Even though the next day he threw whiney fits up the wazoo. That first day sucked.

It's gotten a billion and ten times better since that first day.
Thank god.

What I've learned...

Kid entertainment is weird these days... Bionicles. What the hell is that shit? Some of the Cartoon Network Cartoons are okay but Yu-gi-oh and Pokemon are just fucking bizarre.
Apparently the Loch Ness monster is some old dinosaur that was frozen then reanimated. (Little T can give you a lot more details but personally I think it takes the mystery/excitement/adventure out of it.)
I now know why stay at home mom's get freakishly happy at the end of summer. Don't get me wrong, He's a great kid and I love hanging out with him, but I miss having more than a day (or two) a week to myself. I look forward to the start of school, because I'll have more free time (and more job availability) and because he'll hopefully get a few friends.
A good book will keep him quite for (almost) as long as a movie.
Father and son can be amazingly similar even if kid didn't grow up around dad. (They are both SOOO literal!! Little T more so in ways such as.. "Wait a minute..." Then a minute later... "Megan, it's been a Minute!" Drives me nuts! The T isn't quite that bad but I'm sure it's just something he grew out of.)

There was more, but he finished his book. We're gonna go do some together stuff before I have to get in the shower.

Kids can eat an amazing amount of food. (Well I don't know if it's all kids or just this one... but sweet jesus the boy can eat!!)
This whole ordeal has given me some insight to my sister. She was 27 (my age) when her oldest was 9 (Little T's age). I don't know how she did it... especially with 2 kids!! Amazing.

Plan for the night... get home at a semi-reasonable time. Smoke. Maybe hang photos. Watch cheesy dance movie. Pass out... sleep for... as long as possible.

I don't think I've eaten today. And there's nothing to eat here. Well at least nothing that doesn't require some sort of semi-intensive preparation.

Oh my god... I could totally go for taco's from the taco stand by Chris's old apartment right now.
That sounds delicious.

Where did the day go?

It's 1am already?!?
That's absurdly absurd.
The day just slipped through my fingers.

Oh well. I had a good day so I'm not bitching.
I hung out with the Terrorist all day. Just dicking around and really doing nothing of importance. We haven't done that in awhile. I kind of miss those days.

The only bad bit...
I think I ate more food today than I have all week.
Blech.

I got home a couple of hours ago. I was "kicking it on standby" cause a friend was supposed to call but I guess he kind of thought she wasn't going to but then she did so I came home all ready to crawl into the magical bed with Lesley but she's staying at the Soldiers place (surprise surprise) so now the magical bed is all mine.

Had the intention of watching Juno. Don't think that's going to happen now. I'm sleepy. I think I'm just going to go pass the fuck out, maybe get up early and do some shit before I have to be at work. Like find a job.

A confession of sorts... (Updated)

I don't like grapefruit.
I know that's a bit anti-climactic.

Even though I don't like them, for some unknown reason I still feel the need to buy them every now and then.
Why?
Well, okay, I need to be honest. It's not that I don't like them, it's more that I don't like eating them. I feel that they're not worth the effort involved. (Yes, I know I'm lazy.)
It's inevitable though, at some point, I'll be in the produce department and I'll get the urge to buy some grapefruits. I'll get them home where they'll sit on the counter until a colony of mold moves in, I'll get completely disgusted, throw them out and vow never again to buy a grapefruit.
I bought a couple of grapefruits the other day.
I'm an idiot.
I'm forcing myself to eat them though.

Took an accidental nap today.
Didn't mean to fall asleep. My theroy is that if I slept this afternoon I would be wide awake tonight and that would just fuck up my sleep schedule but I laid down and passed out like a mofo.
It was good, though.
I needed it.
Woke up and had to pee so bad I thought there was 6 gallons of liquid in my bladder and someone standing on it. It wasn't an immediate thing though. I laid there for a minute or two then realized that I was going to pee myself if I didn't get up soon. Which is probably a good thing because I'm pretty sure I'd still be asleep if that wasn't the case.

I was famished too.
Then I realized it probably has something to do with the fact that I haven't had more than a bagel a day for the past few days.
So I made a bagel. (I'm not always incredibly bright when I wake up.)
Was still hungry...
Yep. That's when I did it.
I had a fucking grapefruit.
One more to go and I'm done with them!

Think I'm going to go do some dishes and possibly take a shower and get laundry ready. Actually I should get laundry ready first cuz I don't NEED to shower or do dishes. But I do NEED to do laundry and though I don't NEED to have it ready when the T calls it would be the polite thing to do, cause he is in-fact letting me do some free laundry at his place.
Tsk tsk tsk, he's sneaking me in after the kid is asleep.
I sometimes think I forgot that I'm now really, definitely, an adult.
'Cause in situations like this, when my friend is the parent and being the parent means you make the rules, I still mildly feel like I'm going to get in trouble if I get caught.
Like Little T is going to ground Big T and call my mom if he finds out I went over to do laundry and watch Tv after he went to bed.
I need to get over that.

I never know which "cuz" "cause" to use.
Based on the firefox spell check thingy "cause" is the correct one to use. Wonder how good at grammar firefox is?

(Updated part... for some reason Vox won't let me color it purple... DAMN YOU VOX) I've spent the majority of my day since I've been out of work in my underwear... and I LOVE IT. :-) Just wanted to share.

Yesterday...
I gorged.

Blame it on 4/20 and the fact that I was stoned most of the day.
Blame it on the fact that I was bored and had nothing better to do than eat.
Blame it on whatever...

I ate a SHITLOAD of food yesterday.

I woke up at 4am with heartburn. Didn't think much of it

Now... at 7am I want nothing more than to make a cup of coffee but I feel like it would go to waste because I still have heartburn that WONT GO AWAY!

Doesn't that happen when you get old?
You wake up with heartburn.
Or you suffer from something you ate the night before.
This Sucks!!

I WANT SOME COFFEE!!!

Better Run Girl, You're Much Too Young Girl!

Wow. I'm baked.

No, Really baked.

I hung out with Christopher this evening. Found a 24-hr laundry mat. (I FINALLY GOT MY LAUNDRY DONE!!) After (1am) we decided we were hungry and I was hooked on the idea of a meatball sub. (We ate them a lot when we first got to Oregon, well... maybe not a lot but so much so that they stick out in my brain.) So he came over and we made meatball subs. Awesomeness. Then we smoked, then I brought him home. (About 20 or so mins ago.) I stopped at 7/11 so he go pick something up and while he was in the store I totally forgot where I was and what I was doing there. Granted it was only for a half a second... but still...

I need to go to bed.

Working or Dining?

Working... was probably last night. It was one of those days that make me want to throw in my apron and NEVER serve again. It was fucking horrible.

Dinning... I haven't really had that many bad experiences. I had a horribly. wretched, bitch of a server one time at the Great Lost Bear but Nancy and Nate wouldn't let me complain. Though I probably wouldn't have... but my god she was wicked.
